30 Day Progress With a Dose of Reality

Alright, alright, alrighttttttt, here you go, y'all!! If you've been following my journey then you know that I started the 80 Day Obsession (80DO) Test group on July 31st! 80DO is Autumn Calabrese's 80 day fitness and nutrition program designed to sculpt your booty, abs, and improve your overall condition!

 

I'd say it's working... 🙌🙌

 

The program will release in January, but I was selected to test out the program before it's release to the general public.
I'm going to be straight up... this test group couldn't have come at a worse time for me. We started this program 5 days after we closed on our new house. So, during the first week, I was moving out of my old house, updating our new house, and trying to unpack the bare essentials to live on a daily basis. I unpacked my kitchen the night before I started this program. There wasn't a lot of time for glamorous "meal prepping" or perfectly packed pre-made meals. I simplified this meal plan as much as possible with as little actual cooking as possible, and... it worked!!! Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated, people.

 

While this test group couldn't have come at a worse time, I'M SO HAPPY THAT IT DID because I needed something to hold me accountable through the stress of this move. It's been a dramatic rollercoaster with these home updates. I've been kicked out of my master bedroom for the last 12 days due to new flooring... Living out of a suitcase all month... Listening to banging and drilling the past 2 weeks... When you work from home, having a construction crew in your house for 2 weeks is a living nightmare. I know, I sound like a whiny baby. But you know what? I'm human. I complain sometimes. I get irritated sometimes. I want to eat and drink the stress away sometimes. I'm not a superhuman. #sorrynotsorry #truth

 

In any other situation, I probably would have gained 5lbs of fat due to these circumstances. It would have been so easy to simply dine out or grab "fast food" all month as our home gets updated. But, instead, I have been in an online group with Autumn and 100 other test group participants. We've been cheering each other on daily! Meeting up live every morning for online workouts! Sharing meal plan ideas to get creative in the kitchen! Posting our progress! And, even though somedays I groan about eating healthy and doing my workout, I'm SO THANKFUL for this crew for showing up FOR me!!! My motivation level is not sky high, BUT it doesn't matter bc I'm in it with my "obsessors" so I show up even when I don't want to!

 

And, in doing so...

I'm down 7 inches!! And 2lbs! Yep, only 2lbs! However, I've lost 2 inches off my hips and 1.75 inches from my waist!! And, I'm definitely retaining water right now and may have had a cocktail (or 4 and a ton of salty popcorn/ chips...) with my friends in Denver over the weekend. Just keeping it real!! Sorry, I'm not perfect! If you want that, look elsewhere. I'm sure you can find a lot of other people out there telling you their fake and perfect "real life story", but you aren't going to find that here... ✌️ #sassytoday
